Are we sick of the 100-degree days yet? I know. I am. The one saving grace is that kids go back to school. No more days of getting home after work to find out the kids just woke up. My son even had the audacity to ask me, “What’s for breakfast,” at 3:30 in the afternoon. If that isn’t enough for you to grab a bourbon neat, then I don’t know what is!

- The Bourbon Rickey is the perfect pick if you want a refreshing cocktail that isn’t sweet. Named after a Washington D.C. bar regular and politician Joe Rickey. Bourbon plus soda water with a bunch of lime. You can use your favorite bourbon, but I have found a lower proof works well.
