Buffalo Trace Distillery has a rich tradition that dates to 1775. Names such as E.H. Taylor, Jr., George T. Stagg, Albert B. Blanton, and Elmer T. Lee are just a few who have walked the distillery. The distillery is also a National Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Now, you have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to stay at the famous Stagg Lodge, located on Buffalo Trace barrel warehouse farm. This opportunity is the first time the lodge has been offered to the public, and all it will cost you is one mile. One person will win a $10,000 trip for two that also includes
- 1st Class airfare for two.
- A two-night stay (one night at the lodge and the other in Louisville).
- A private chef dinner for both nights at the distillery.
- A private tour of the distillery.
- An $800 gift card for gift shop merchandise.
- A donation of bourbon, in the name of the winner, to a mutually agreed upon 501(c) charity.
Erected in 2020, the lodge is a 4,000 square feet log cabin overlooking the distillery, Frankfort, and the Kentucky River. A five-bedroom, four-bath log cabin that has a wraparound porch with views of everything that makes Buffalo Trace great.
Harlen Wheatley explains, “The passion we see from our fans is the most inspiring part of what we do. We’re asking people to run just one mile for a chance to join us at Buffalo Trace Distillery for a specially curated bourbon experience and the opportunity to stock their bars with an exclusive collection of some of our finest bourbons for the new year and beyond.”
To enter, fans should visit WillRunforBuffaloTraceBourbon.com between January 18 and February 18 for details and enter. The winner will be notified by the end of February and the stay will occur later in the year.
