(March 25, 2025) Louisville, KY – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana (RMHCK) is raffling six Pappy bottles packaged as a flight. But this year’s expanded Pappy raffle boasts a unique addition: a bottle of Pappy Rye has entered the chat. The iconic raffle, which always sells out, kicks off March 25.

Each ticket will be sold for $100 each and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit families who stay at the House when they travel to Louisville for medical care for their children. All programs and services are free of charge to families. For tickets: https://l.feathr.co/OFMxIochUQvp

Julian Van Winkle III signed each bottle for this specific raffle, adding value as well as bragging rights to this year’s collection. Van Winkle is a long-time supporter of RMHCK and serves as president of Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery.

The rmhck.org flight includes one bottle of:

Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year (2023)

12-Year Old Van Winkle Lot B (2023)

Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye (2024)

Pappy Van Winkle 15 Year (2023)

Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year (2023)

Pappy Van Winkle 23 Year (2023)

Marc Abrams, a well-known bourbon expert based in Louisville, has personally authenticated each bottle and appraised the flight for more than $13,000.

“Having a complete collection for this year’s raffle by including the rye makes it truly a complete vertical,” said Abrams. “And the unbelievable value in having Julian Van Winkle signing each bottle sets this apart from other raffles.”

“We intentionally sell 1,984 tickets to commemorate the year 1984, when Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana first opened its doors to families,” said Hal Hedley, the organization’s CEO. “These six coveted bottles offered as a group go directly to support sick children and their families,” he said.

Through the years, this raffle has made an enormous impact on the organization. RMHCK’s Pappy raffle efforts have directly raised more than $1.8 million for the organization since 2019, providing 15,353 nights of comfort to families who travel to Louisville for medical treatment for their children.

The flight will be raffled at 11am EDT, May 22. Winner does not have to be present. More details can be found at PappyRaffle.org. To purchase tickets: https://l.feathr.co/OFMxIochUQvp
