Methodology
www.slotsource.com used WikiliQ and Google Trends data to create the above study. Our starting point was the WikiliQ list of top bourbon brands. Google Trends search data from the last 90 days was then used to determine the most searched brand in each state.
Study Highlights
The most popular bourbon overall is Jack Daniel’s (19 states). After that, the order goes Jim Beam (10 states), Maker’s Mark (10 states), Bulleit (7 states), and Basil Hayden’s (5 states).
We’ve included Jack Daniel’s on the list, even though it might be controversial. Technically, the company doesn’t call its spirit a bourbon. It prefers “Tennessee whiskey.”
