High West has announced the release of The Prisoner’s Share, a blend of straight bourbon and straight rye whiskeys finished in The Prisoner Red Blend wine barrels.
High West The Prisoner’s Share is described as having aromas of “cherry blossom, pomegranate, macerated prunes, dried violets, ginger beer, dark mead, and toasted cedar chips.” The palate exhibits notes of “honey-roasted figs, apricot jam on grilled brioche, black pepper, coconut pound cake, French oak spice, and caramel drizzled over blood orange slices.” It concludes with “a bold but inviting finish of cold brew coffee, berry crème brûlée, and roasted pecans.”
High West The Prisoner’s Share is bottled at 51% ABV (102 proof) and will be available in limited quantities beginning this month at a suggested retail price of $174.99.
