ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – Local nonprofit Give 270 has announced details for the latest round of the weekly Whiskey Wednesdays charity bourbon raffle series. Whiskey Wednesdays Round 12 – Goin’ Stagg will kick off Wednesday, July 3 and all proceeds from the raffles will benefit United Way of Central Kentucky (UWCK).
Participants in the raffles will have a chance to win one of 12 grand prizes hidden behind locked doors. Among the 12 grand prizes are two sets of five-bottle Buffalo Trace Antique Collection paired with a bottle of Stagg, and 10 bottles of George T. Stagg paired with a bottle of Stagg. At checkout, participants will choose the door they want to reveal if selected as the grand prize winner, and if selected, they will receive the prize behind that door.
Additionally, four bonus prizes will be given away each week. These include Weller Special Reserve, Buffalo Trace 1 L, Luca Mariano: Give 270 Single Barrel Pick and Filmland: The Eric & Joe Show 10th Anniversary Single Barrel Pick.
All grand and bonus prize winners will also be entered to win a 23-bottle set featuring every Stagg released since the bourbon brand’s inception in 2013.
All proceeds from the raffle will benefit UWCK’s efforts to foster self-sufficiency in education, financial stability and health for individuals within its five-county region. Specifically, funds raised through the raffle will benefit UWCK’s Mini-Grants Program, which backs ongoing community projects and initiatives that may lie beyond the scope of UWCK’s conventional funding structure. Last year, the Mini-Grants Program funded initiatives such as new equipment for a sensory playground at Hodgenville Elementary School, a teaching garden through Breckinridge-Grayson Programs, Inc., Helping Hand of Hope’s Affordable Christmas program and more. 
Through proceeds from Whiskey Wednesdays Round 8 – Aged 22 Years last year, Give 270 presented a $35,000 check to UWCK last September.
“The work we do daily to support our neighbors wouldn’t be possible without the backing of our community, and Give 270 has proven to be an outstanding partner,” said Christa Shouse, president of UWCK.
Whiskey Wednesdays Round 12 – Goin’ Stagg raffles will take place on Give 270’s Facebook page and YouTube channel each Wednesday at 8 p.m. from July 2 through Sept. 25.
“We are excited to launch the latest installment in our Whiskey Wednesdays series and to once again partner with United Way of Central Kentucky,” said Eric Clemens, Board Chair for Give 270. “With the support of our community of bourbon enthusiasts, we aim to make an even greater impact on United Way’s critical work this time around.”
Tickets for the weekly raffles are now on sale. Priced at $5 each, there is no limit to the amount of tickets purchased per individual each week.
