Local nonprofit Give 270 has announced the kick off its latest series of charity whiskey raffles, including Round 7 of its weekly charity raffle Whiskey Wednesdays and a new 50-4-50 Bourbon Strong raffle event.
Celebrating Give 270’s seventh anniversary as a nonprofit, the Whiskey Wednesdays Birthday Bash will give ticket purchasers five chances to win valuable bourbon prizes each week. All proceeds from the raffles will benefit Give 270’s mission to support community, economic and workforce development through local giving. Raffles will occur on Give 270’s Facebook page and YouTube channel each Wednesday at 8 p.m. from April 12 through June 28.
Each week, Give 270 will be giving away the grand prize of a bottle of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, along with a Weller 12 Year, a Weller Antique 107, a Weller Special Reserve, and a bottle of Riff Corp, a single barrel selection of New Riff bourbon from Elizabethtown-based retailer John O’s Liquors.
Through the raffle, 12 bottles of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon of various years will be hidden behind 12 locker doors. When purchasing tickets, participants will be asked to choose a locker number. If their ticket is chosen during the raffle, they will be given the bottle of bourbon hidden behind the locker they selected. Once the grand prize has been drawn, drawings of the other four bourbon prizes will follow.
The 50-4-50 Bourbon Strong raffle is set for April 26 at 8 p.m. and will feature 50 bourbon prizes, including three grand prizes, which include a five-bottle set of Pappy Van Winkle, a six-bottle Weller vertical, and an eight-bottle set of Blanton’s. Other prizes given away during the raffle include:
- A bottle of William LaRue Weller.
- A bottle of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection Sazerac Rye.
- A bottle of Van Winkle Special Reserve Lot “B” 12-Year-Old Bourbon Whiskey.
- A bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 10-Year Bourbon.
- A bottle of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon.
- A bottle of Weller Full Proof.
- A bottle of Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel Bourbon.
- 20 bottles of Weller Antique.
- 20 bottles of Weller Special Reserve.
During the raffle, single-bottle prizes four through 50 will be drawn before returning each of those winning tickets to the tumbler for the drawing of grand prizes.
All proceeds from the 50-4-50 Bourbon Strong raffle will go toward Charities For Kentucky. Founded last year, Charities for Kentucky works in cooperation with the University of Kentucky student-athletes who help promote fundraising with their name, image, and likeness to benefit worthy causes across Kentucky. Some participating charities include Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass, God’s Pantry Food Bank and Junior Achievement.

Tickets for Whiskey Wednesdays Round 7 and the 50-4-50 Bourbon Strong Raffle are now on sale. Tickets for Whiskey Wednesday’s raffles are $5 and there is no limit to the number of tickets purchased per individual each week.
Bourbon Strong raffle tickets are $50, with 3,000 tickets available for the raffle. There is no limit to the number of tickets purchased per person, subject to availability.
