LANCASTER, KY (January 16, 2025) – Premium spirits company Staghorn is relaunching the entire whiskey line up from its Garrard County Distilling Co. beginning with today’s unveiling of its new flagship whiskey: All Nations Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The 5- to 7-year-old blend from notable Kentucky distilling stalwarts is now available for a very approachable $39.99 SRP.
Already the winner of a Gold Medal – 95 Points score at the prestigious 2024 International Wine and Spirits Competition and a Double Gold Medal at the 2024 America’s Best Beverage Awards, All Nations Kentucky Straight Bourbon truly showcases the skill of Garrard County Distilling Co.’s panel of four award-winning whiskey experts behind the selection and blending of each barrel, as well as the crafting of the more than 32,000 barrels of new make already in the company’s Lancaster, KY rickhouses.
Instead of a single Master Distiller dictating how the bourbon should be crafted, All Nations engages a panel with decades of experience at such distillers as Jim Beam, Barton, MGP and Bluegrass to create its whiskey. This democratic approach to whiskey making ensures there is something for everyone to experience and enjoy in All Nations’ harmonious blends.
The hallmark of All Nations whiskeys is a perfect balance of rich sweetness and complex spice that was achieved by each member of the panel recalling a particular whiskey they enjoyed and recounting what made it so special. This led the group to call All Nations a “community whiskey” that brings folks together to share remarkable stories.
With Garrard County Distilling Co. – the largest all-new independent distillery in Kentucky when it opened – coming online just in January of 2024, the whiskey for All Nations Kentucky Straight Bourbon was crafted with existing stocks from acclaimed distilleries across the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. With these distilleries collectively separated by nearly 200 miles, this whiskey is a true representation of the great Commonwealth. The mash bills are: 75% corn, 12% rye, 13% malted barley; 70% corn, 21% rye, 9% malted barley; and 64% corn, 24% rye, 12% malted barley, respectively.
The whiskey was aged in #4 alligator char barrels in Clermont, Danville, Owensboro, and Boston, KY before arriving for a final aging at Garrard County Distilling Co. in Lancaster, KY. All Nations is blended onsite using water sourced from the limestone-rich Lancaster Public Spring aquifer, first tapped by settlers in 1776.
On the nose, aromas of sweet spice and dry leather blend with clove, revealing Madagascar vanilla and toasted turbinado sugar, reminiscent of campfire marshmallows. Poached pear on the palate is followed by honeyed black tea and tobacco smoke. A savory finish of white peppercorn and subtle black walnut rounds out the experience. At a bold 96 Proof, All Nations Kentucky Straight Bourbon is perfect in a classic cocktail or savored neat.
All Nations Kentucky Straight Bourbon is now available in Georgia (United Distributors), Kentucky (Kentucky Eagle) and Tennessee (Lipman Brothers), as well as online at www.garrardcountydistillingco.com. All Nations Small Batch Bourbon and Single Barrel Bourbon will be relaunched in the coming months.
All Nations was named from the poster hung in bars during Carrie (later changed to Carry) Nation’s temperance crusade in the late 1800s, smashing saloons with her infamous hatchet. The tongue-in-cheek posters read: “All Nations Welcome Except Carrie.” The Garrard County Distilling Co. team blended All Nations as a counter point to Carry. While she was a singular loud voice dictating her views, All Nations was crafted by multiple people with equal voices, creating a true community whiskey.
