Sept. 11, 2024 – Tickets are now on sale for a charity bourbon raffle hosted by Kentucky nonprofit Bourbon with Heart, Inc., featuring a lineup of rare and allocated bourbon prizes. The raffle’s grand prize is a six-bottle Weller “Rainbow” Vertical, featuring Weller Single Barrel, Weller C.Y.P.B., Weller Full Proof, Weller 12 year, Weller Antique 107 and Weller Special Reserve. The raffle also features bonus prizes, including a Van Winkle Lot “B” 12 year, an Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year, an Elmer T. Lee and a Blanton’s Green Edition.
Set for Wednesday, Sept. 25, proceeds from the raffle will support Bourbon with Heart’s mission to leverage the influence and popularity of bourbon to raise awareness surrounding Kentucky’s art community, provide Kentuckians with better access to first-class arts experiences regardless of age, race, class, gender or ability and raise funds for other nonprofits.
The raffle also showcases Bourbon with Heart’s Kentucky Bourbon Festival Art Exhibit. Through the exhibit, an exclusive auction will be held, featuring 10 bourbon barrel staves and 10 bourbon barrel heads, each masterfully hand-painted by 20 local artists. These unique pieces will be showcased at the 2024 Kentucky Bourbon Festival, with proceeds benefiting Bourbon with Heart. Additionally, 20 percent of the net proceeds will be donated to the Cedar Lake Foundation.
When purchasing bourbon raffle tickets, participants will be asked to vote for their favorite art piece from the 20 featured in the exhibit. The artist who receives the most votes will win $500, as will a nonprofit they have chosen.
“With this raffle, we’re not only celebrating Kentucky’s rich bourbon culture but also shining a spotlight on the incredible local artists who bring our community’s spirit to life,” said Morgan Hancock, Founder and Director of Bourbon with Heart, Inc. “It’s an opportunity to give back in a meaningful way, supporting both the arts and vital nonprofits across the state.”
The raffle is held in partnership with Elizabethtown-based nonprofit Give 270. After raising over $1.5 million in support of the central Kentucky region through charitable gaming initiatives and signature events, the nonprofit launched bourbonraffles.org earlier this year. This platform aims to offer fundraising opportunities to a wider array of nonprofit organizations and worthwhile initiatives. The first raffle hosted on the platform took place in March and benefited the Louisville-based Wizdom Foundation, followed by a raffle in support of the Oldham County-based Trent DiGiuro Foundation in May.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Bourbon with Heart to host an event that blends Kentucky’s love for bourbon with a passion for supporting the arts and the wider community,” said Kenny Rambo, co-founder of Give 270.
The upcoming raffle, officially titled Bourbon Raffles Serial No. 003, will take place live on Give 270’s Facebook page and YouTube channel on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m., following Give 270’s weekly Whiskey Wednesdays raffle.
Tickets are $10 and will be available for purchase until 7 p.m. on the day of the drawing. There is no limit to the number of tickets purchased per individual.
