92 Barrell Foundation: We applied the same meticulous, scientific approach to blending that we put behind all of our products to this 100-proof release. Our goal was to create a versatile, easy-drinking, full-flavored bourbon perfect for enjoying neat or over ice. It’s also a natural choice for cocktails that benefit from a slightly lower proof.
91 Barrell Bourbon Cask Finish: Tale of Two Islands: We took the empty casks that held our Tale of Two Islands Rum, and used them to finish a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys. This is a classic bourbon with notes from the sweetness of the rum and the smokiness of the Islay casks.
95 Barrell Bourbon Cask Finish: Amburana: The Barrell Craft Spirits blending team created a bourbon blend of two mash bills with different char levels finished in Amburana casks. A vatting of individual casks without finishing was layered in to add depth, richness and complexity, ensuring the bourbon shines through first and foremost.
95 Barrell Bourbon Cask Finish: Mizunara: This cask finish bourbon was expertly blended using multiple mash bills finished in Mizunara casks for one and a half years. Mizunara finishing imparts subtle notes of herbal spice and coconut to bourbon, and precision is required to craft a harmonious blend.
