Blackland Distillery (Blackland), a modern, high-tech distillery and tasting room in Fort Worth’s Foundry District, proudly announces the release of its latest spirit, Texpresso Whiskey, a 70-proof Texas whiskey infused with rich flavors of coffee, brown sugar, and pecans. The new addition to Blackland’s esteemed lineup launches in tandem with the craft distillery’s 5th anniversary, which will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, with bottles available for presale exclusively in its award-winning tasting room.
Following the overwhelming success of its best-selling spirit, Texas Pecan Brown Sugar Bourbon, Blackland aims to continue making a name for itself in the flavored whiskey category with the release of Texpresso Whiskey. At 35% alcohol-by-volume, the specialty spirit can be savored on its own, or combined with a simple shot of espresso to create the ultimate, two-ingredient espresso martini. Bottles will be available for presale exclusively in Blackland’s tasting room starting March 23, before hitting liquor store shelves later this spring. Texpresso Whiskey can also be purchased online at blacklandfw.com/shop for direct-to-door shipping to 40+ states across the U.S. starting April 1.
“Our customers spoke and we listened,” said Markus Kypreos, owner and founder of Blackland. “After witnessing the nationwide popularity of Texas Pecan Brown Sugar Bourbon, we decided it was time to introduce a bold, new flavor profile that combines the smooth kick of whiskey with the familiar, local flavors of coffee, pecans and brown sugar. We anticipate Texpresso will energize palates and become a staple in every whiskey-lovers’ collection.”
Over the last five years, Blackland has rapidly expanded to keep up with the rising demand of its award-winning spirits. Its 12,000-square-foot facility now touts a full-service, upscale cocktail lounge and tasting room, fully automated bottling line, cutting-edge production floor, two barrel rooms, and a VIP room. The modern spirits brand has seen impressive growth since its launch in 2019, with distribution expanding across state lines to Arkansas, Arizona, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Washington, as well as internationally into the United Kingdom. Looking ahead, Blackland plans to continue releasing bold, new spirits while increasing its national footprint into additional markets across the U.S.
