Kentucky’s $9 billion bourbon industry continues to boost the state’s economy. In addition to generating more than 22,500 jobs, Kentucky produces more than a third of all distilling jobs nationwide with an annual payroll exceeding $1.23 billion — 95% of the global bourbon supply.

The James B. Beam Institute for Kentucky Spirits, in collaboration with the Kentucky Distillers’ Association (KDA), this year’s conference sponsor, offers the fifth annual Bourbon Industry Conference March 11-13, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Gatton Student Center. Registration is now open.

The Beam Institute, in partnership with Beam Suntory, is advancing the next generation of distillers.

Following the Beam Institute’s opening of a new distillery and maturation facility on UK’s campus in Aug. 2023, the institute is reinforcing its commitment as the industry’s research and development vehicle.

Conference sessions will address key industry topics. Attendees will earn a certificate of continuing education for participation.

KDA President Eric Gregory said the conference brings together the best leaders, visionaries, researchers and pioneers that the signature industry has to offer.

“Since Kentucky is the gold standard for bourbon, this conference has become a ‘can’t miss’ event for anyone involved or interested in the distilling industry,” Gregory said. “It’s a who’s who of the best in cutting-edge research, innovative technologies and forward-thinking best practices. If you want the latest views and news, get your tickets before it sells out.”

Early bird registration for the full conference is $350 and $175 for one-day passes through Jan. 21. Beginning Jan. 22, full-conference registration will increase to $450 and day passes to $225. Discounted tickets will be available for students, faculty and staff. Registration includes educational sessions, exhibits, lunch and networking engagements.
