We know bourbon is great, but finding a good bourbon that is readily accessible on the retail shelf is a challenge.
Just the other day, I was at a liquor store in Kentucky and the cashier told me about their new shipment of bourbons that just arrived. Intrigued, I looked at the selection and found many sought-after bottles such as Eagle Rare 10-Year, Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch, and the new Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Batch Proof.
Each bottle ranges from $30-$129 MSRP, but the liquor store’s starting price for these three bourbons was $179.99.
Are we crazy spending this much money over the MSRP? I cannot justify paying that much for a bottle of bourbon, so I came up with a list of best-tasting bourbons that are accessible and moderately priced. (Kentucky Prices)
Best Bourbon Overall
- Russell’s Reserve 10-Year ($39.99)
Best Budget Bourbon under $30
- Woodford Reserve ($29.99)

There you have it, my list of reasonably priced bourbons. Now, go out and try them all.
