Louisville, KY (August 27, 2024) – The Whisky Chicks and Bourbon Brotherhood hosted the eleventh annual Bourbon Mixer presented by AutoRenu on Saturday, August 17, at The Olmsted. The theme was Bourbon Masquerade, complete with music, Cajun food, raffles for rare Pappy Van Winkle and Blanton’s bottles, and bourbon tastings from 22 craft and global distilleries. The auction, hosted by Legacy Home & Estate Services, featured 100 specialty items. The event raised $115,000 for the Coalition for the Homeless, bringing the cumulative dollars raised by the Bourbon Mixer to $750,000.
“We’re so grateful to everyone who contributed to the Bourbon Mixer,” said Natalie Harris, Executive Director of the Coalition. “With homelessness on the rise, we need funding now more than ever. Thanks to our volunteers, donors, and sponsors, this event has now raised $750,000 over the past 11 years!”
The awards for the evening were as follows:
- Top Fundraiser: Jim Beam
- Bourbon Brotherhood Fan Favorite: Old Forester
- Whisky Chicks Fan Favorite: Maker’s Mark
- Best Dressed Winners: Jon Cecil and Lisa Burnett
- Pappy Raffle Winner: J. Todd Whitchurch
- Blanton’s Raffle Winner: Ian van Lierop

About the Bourbon Mixer
The Bourbon Mixer was created in 2014 by Bruce Corwin of the Bourbon Brotherhood and Linda Ruffenach of the Whisky Chicks, and is supported by a planning committee of generous volunteers from those social groups. Since its inception in 2014, the Bourbon Mixer has raised $750,000 in support of the Coalition for the Homeless’ mission and work.
